Are you looking for casual, trendy clothing styles for the warm days of summer? Hollister Clothing offers informal, laid back styles for the trendy guys and gals. Offering an unfussy, casual clothing line as well as flip flops in many different styles. For about $15 you can purchase a pair of rubber flip flops, or if you're looking for something a little less casual, our leather flips flops are offered for around $30.00. For the young person or the young at heart, Hollister Clothing has something for you.

Selection and purchasing the right pair of flip flops is more of an art than a science. Most importantly, it is necessary to find a pair that is comfortable and fits you properly. Style is also important, but is not a substitute for comfort! When you are trying on the flip flops take a good look at your feet while standing. All around your foot there should be at least an inch (1.27 cm) of sole plainly visible. The shoe is too small if this is not so. The flip flop should not be excessively longer than your foot. It should be only slightly longer which will prevent your toes or heels from touching the ground while walking.

Flip flops that rub the top portion of your feet will be uncomfortable and will do nothing but irritate your skin. Take note of the type of strap on the flip flop. In general rubber straps are more comfortable and fit snuggly as opposed to cloth and leather, but the latter can still fit fine if they are right for your feet.

Flips flops can either have a band across the top that goes from one side of your foot to the other, or they can be the thong sandal that separates the big toe from the second toe. If you choose the thong flip flop, make sure you buy one where the strap does not rub too much and chafe either one of your toes.

Do not buy a flip flop that causes your foot to 'hang over' when you are standing in them. If this happens then the flip flop is too big and could cause you problems when walking. Speaking of walking, when you walk in flip flops keep your feet pointed straight ahead as opposed to pointing outward like a duck or shoved together. Always walk from your heel to your toe. There is no need to slide your feet to keep the flip flops on if they fit the way they should.

If you are going out and going to be doing a lot of walking you should not wear flip flops. Flip flops may be easy to wear and seem to be the style now but wearing them can cause you to have have blisters and sore feet because they provide no support. So opt for running shoes if you plan to do a lot of walking to give you feet the support they need.
